Wanted to explain why I left blogging, posting for the past month. On April 19th, the DR discovered that my husband had 3 hernias. They found one on the right side, one on the left side and one abdominal hernia. June 3rd my husband had surgery and on June 5th my sister in law passed away from Pancreatic Cancer.
The day of surgery, a surgical team member told us that the Surgeon likes to do her operations manually instead of laparoscopically! So hubby opted to have surgery on the abdominal and right side hernias. The surgical team were worried about him being able to walk around to avoid blood clots with too many incisions. Surgeons exam before surgery determined hubby may have more than 1 abdominal hernia, she suggested to just fix the right side. During surgery, the surgeon found 2 hernias! A direct and indirect hernia was on that one side. So we are happy it was done manually, as the second one may not have been seen if done laparoscopically.
Follow up appointment was on the 21st. Hubby is healing nicely, and has a fluid pocket which the DR said should go away in a few weeks. They scheduled a CT SCAN for for the abdominal area June 29th. Hopefully it will also show the left groin area. Follow up for the CT results and discuss another surgery date is July 19th.
Now that my husband is getting around better, posting will begin off and on as of tomorrow.
I will also be implementing a credit segment on the blog. I’ve been doing a lot of research on how to fix your credit and trust me, I learned a ton!
