I am a big fan of yogurt, but I have not tried Stonyfield Farms, and I was very unaware of Greek Yogurt. So when Kristina from Stonyfield contacted me about doing a review and giveaway, I was very excited. Not only was I getting the chance to try a new brand of yogurt, but it was Organic and GREEK!
I must say, Oikos Greek Yogurt is different from what I am use too, but it is very good. It’s rich, creamy, and delicious. Has 0% fat, just 80 calories per 5.3 oz.-serving*, twice the protein of regular yogurt, and fewer carbohydrates. Because it’s organic, Oikos is also better for the earth. And it’s better for you, too! Amazing! This stuff definitely does not taste fat-free!
I tried the vanilla flavor. The container I bought had a recipe for Tarimisu! I love Tarimisu, but decided that making it would be dangerous to me. lol I’m on a diet!
I have never tried any brand of plain yogurt, but if you buy the plain a good way to enjoy it is with frozen fruit – ex: pack a little container of Oikos Greek Yogurt and frozen berries in the morning, and by lunch the fruit will have defrosted and you’ll have perfectly sweetened the yogurt. Yum!
Oikos might not be the cheapest yogurt on the market, the 16oz is $3.94 at my local Wal-Mart, but it’s well worth the price!

I’m a Gramma to a beautiful, funny, smart little girl who was born in July of 2014. She’s the joy of my family and I’m so very proud to be a gramma (an alternate spelling for grandma)! I am a coffee, music, movie and outdoor lover! My family and I love picnics, festivals and concerts. Spending time with my family is the best part of my life. I love my job as well! Blogging and product reviewing has given my family and I a lot and I have also learned a lot and made a lot of friends.
