My granddaughter Gracen is 1 yrs old and so she’s just getting to where she will sit or stand and watch TV for about a minute, play with the toy she has in her hand for another minute and then turn her attention to the TV again. I thought it would be nice to let her watch the newly released Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Mickey’s Monster Musical to see her reaction, since she likes the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
The movie starts out with Mickey, Minnie and Pluto deciding to go on a picnic when it suddenly starts raining and they run out of gas. They look for somewhere to hang out while the storm rages on and well, they find a castle. Mysterious characters that live in the castle start to appear including a ghost, a mad doctor, monster and vampire (played by all the usual Disney characters we’ve come to love). Soon Mickey and Minnie are on the case to try and figure out who and what is haunting the castle.
The DVD includes the following episodes:
Mickey’s Monster Musical (Part 1 & 2)
Mickey’s Pirate Adventure (Part 1 & 2)
Mickey’s Farm Fun Fair
Bonus: Minnie’s Bow Toons: Tricky Treats
The voice cast includes Bret Iwan as Mickey; Russi Taylor as Minnie Mouse; Bill Farmer as Goofy and Pluto; Tony Anselmo as Donald Duck; and Tress MacNeille as Daisy Duck. With plenty of songs to dance and sing along with, this is a fun DVD for the kids and any Mickey fan.
Gracen at 14 months is just beginning her adventure with Mickey Mouse, but she likes music, tries to dance and pays attention to the Mischa Moussaka Mouseketeer on the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse which made me think she may like the Mickey’s Monster Musical. When we put the DVD in, she was excited to watch, but didn’t sit still as I had hoped. LOL
I loved watching it with her and found the episodes are definitely far from scary and makes the spooky seem less which is great as we get closer to Halloween. Plus the title episodes are filled with songs that will have your kids happily singing along in no time!
DVD is currently available in stores. The DVD includes nearly 2-hours of adventure plus an Exclusive Trick-Or-Treat Mini Tote which is perfect for a toddler or preschooler to carry around on Halloween day!
Thank you to Click Communications for the review copy, as you can see, my granddaughter was excited and enjoyed the movie.
