Hey y’all, if you don’t have an air fryer, I highly suggest you purchase one. Not only is it healthier eating, it’s faster and uses less energy than the stove and it doesn’t produce heat, which is great for those extremely HOT days! My husband knows I love fried chicken wings. However, I won’t cook them on my stove due to the hot grease and the mess it creates (nope I don’t have a deep fryer). So, he took the initiative to cook some FRIED CHICKEN WINGS in the Air Fryer and it only took 16 minutes total! YUM-O! Served with Potato Salad.
Now on to how to cook these……..it’s very simple.
We bought a bag of chicken wings, you can probably get them from any store, we got them from Winn Dixie for $13 a bag, however it was a Buy One Get One sale which made it frugal to buy. Each bag has about 14 – 18 wings in it.
Defrost the wings, rinse off any remaining ice. Dry with a paper towel if possible (my husband does this so it’s not too soggy). Season wings, the only seasoning my husband used is CHILI POWDER! Yep that’s it! Of course you can use whatever seasoning you want… Garlic, Onion, Salt and Pepper it is totally up to you.
Preheat air fryer on 400 degrees for 3 minutes. Then add your wings to the pan. Now this part really depends on how many wings you want to cook. We had 18 wings, so we split it evenly and did 9 wings at a time. Set the air fryer for 8 minutes and when it’s done, flip the wings and cook for another 8 minutes.
There is little to no grease when you do wings this way…check it out!
If you want to do Buffalo wings, preheat oven to 350 degrees. When the wings are done in the air fryer, remove them from the fryer pan and put them in a pot and pour wing sauce over the wings.
Then put the wings onto a cookie sheet and heat in oven until sauce is hot and blended into the fried chicken wings which should be about 10 minutes or so.
