I’ve always made my own sweet iced tea, but waiting for the boiling water to cool before pouring it in the pitcher always seemed to take forever! Everyone loved my sweet tea, and so I had to do it the entire time wishing there was an easier way to make it 😉 I am happy to have received the Capresso Ice Tea Maker for free in exchange for a review and I am so excited to tell you how this ice tea maker works!

The Capresso Ice Tea Maker has an adjustable brew strength level and can brew fresh ice tea within the matter of 10 minutes. Myself, my husband, our family love iced tea and drink it year round. It’s a better alternative for us plus your eliminating the carbonated drinks with high added sugars too. My husband still loves his coke in the morning, but hey, he’s slacked off on drinking so much soda during the day. I’m very happy to say that this tea maker made the iced tea within minutes with no waiting around for it to get cold.
The iced tea maker comes with an 80 oz ( 2.5qt) glass pitcher that has a removable lid for easy pouring. To make the tea, simply place your loose tea or tea bags inside the removable filter, adjust the brew strength from low to high, which is located on the front, for you your favorite strengths. I usually put it in the middle for medium brew. If you want to add ice before brewing, just look on the glass pitcher and find the ice indicator level. You simply add your ice to that level. The water goes in the removable water tank located in the back (if you use bottled water, it takes 2 bottles) and that’s it! Pretty easy to do, right?
As I sat there and heard the water dripping down into the pitcher I noticed one thing. The ice did not melt. In fact, the ice stayed right on top. That was amazing to see and when I first took a sip of the fresh brewed iced tea it was perfect and it was cold. Just how ice tea should be when you drink it.
You can either add your favorite sugars or alternatives after you have brewed your tea or you can add it before brewing (a true southerner does this) as I did with this review. If you prefer a slice of lemon or any fresh or frozen fruit you may add it before or after brewing. We added about a 1/4 cup of OJ to the first tea we made and it was awesome!
Overall, I am pretty amazed what this ice tea maker can do. It was extremely easy to make and clean up was just as easy. It’s a great way to customize your very own brewing. After reading what this ice tea maker capabilities were, I am happy to say that you can use the Capresso Ice Tea Maker for making ice coffee too. This is a win-win for me because my daughter and I love ice coffee 😉
This is an ideal gift for any tea or coffee lover. It would be a great gift for the holidays too! I highly recommend that you check it out!
